Mighty fine Ninja Tune artiste Fink has made one of the loveliest downtempo LPs in 06 with 'Biscuits For Breakfast' so it was gently rockin' good news that I brought you this Gardening exclusive featuring six of his acoustic tracks.

To start the month I played a label showcase of Fat Cat Records, home to some of my favourite artists including Xinlisupreme, Animal Collective and Mice Parade. I also replayed that exclusive mix by Stromba which went down a storm on the show a year or so ago.

On his second mix for the show Hwyl Nofio mainman Steve Parry treated us to alternative versions of tracks on his new album 'Hounded By Fury'. Steve's music explores and exploits an ongoing collision between harmony and disharmony, built around his abstract guitar patterns.

For my second label showcase this month I dipped into the Domino Records archives. Home to a veritable cornucopia of artists from Franz Ferdinand to Four Tet as well as older favourites such as Pavement and Sebadoh and Quasi.

I was on holiday as well as getting married to my sweetheart this month, so The Garden went into hibernation for a few weeks....
