SEPT 5th : PAUL THE GIRL : acoustic session
Quite unique and almost without obvious comparison The Garden
welcomed an intimate evening in the company of the charming
Paul The Girl. Her recently released album Electro-Magnetic Blues
was one of my personal faves in July and you can hear why on
what was a magical show.
SEPT 12th : MOROSE : acoustic session
One of Italy's finest young bands visited us to perform the
secondexclusive session in The Garden this month.
They describe their sound as a cross between Red Red Meat
and Black Heart Procession with touches of Velvet Underground.
Request their mix to hear a blissfull folk mixture of accordian,
clarinet and guitars and please visit their website : Morose

SEPT 19th : ON-U SOUND RECORDS : mix
Continuing the series of mixes featuring some of my favourite
labels, I enlisted the skills of CRMK's own Melvin Pickles to
spin a tasty selection of dub grooves from Adrian Sherwood's
On-U Sound label.
The King of the bass guitar, Mr. Doug Wimbish has played on
many of the best of these records and so it was also a tribute
to the great man himself. On U Online : ON U SOUND
SEPT 26th : BITMAP : session
Hull's finest Bitmap who are still on a high from the excellent reviews
for their recent Alpha Beta Gamma LP wandered up The Garden path
for an exclusive session. They are favourably compared as sounding
a bit like a dubby version of The Beta Band and the grooves around
their set will complement this. Their mix is available upon request.

What happened in... SEPTEMBER 03
AUG 1st : JAMES HARDWAY : exclusive mix
Jazz funkateer and illustrated man James Hardway selected
a fine set of tunes for this evening's mix. His great body of
work has seen him collaborate over the years with everyone
from Jah Wobble to Genesis P. Orridge and the dub-mixer
supreme Adrian Sherwood.
Tonight you will also have heard some exclusive sshmokin'
tracks from his cool new LP Big Casino on Hydrogen Dukebox
What happened in . . . AUGUST
AUG 8th : MINK LUNGS acoustic session
Brooklyn NYC's finest Mink Lungs dropped by The Garden to offer
us a taste of their latest Arena Rock album 'I'll Take It'.
Regular listener's to the show may know that I have a soft spot for
their twisted pop and tonight I gave you every reason to understand
why I love 'em so. With each band member taking turns on vocal duties
they performed a brand new song especially for this show as well as
a unique Gardening jingle, "I'd buy that for a dollar !"
AUG 15th : BROADWAY PROJECT : exclusive mix
The magnificent multi-layered orchestral sweeps and lush
hallucinogenic symphonies of Broadway Project have graced
many Garden mixes in the past two years and it was with great
pleasure that I was able to bring you an exclusive mix recorded
especially for this show.
Mixing tracks from their new album 'The Vessel' released on the
fine Memphis Industries label, along with their own unique choice
AUG 22nd : THE BUTTERFLIES OF LOVE : acoustic session
The Butterflies Of Love have visited The Garden on two previous
occasions in the past but for this evening's show their lead singer
Jeffrey Greene offered us a solo set of all new material.
Exclusive tracks from his side project, The High Barnets were also
aired for the first time and the show had a rather fitting pastoral
theme for your listening pleasure.
AUG 29th : PUNK SPECIAL : UK
Following the success of my US Punk mix I dug into my crates for
my old 45’s / LP's and selected my all time favourite Great British
Punk songs and anthems. As an original old punk myself, I spat out
the tunes thick and fast with the usual suspects: Sex Pistols ~ Wire
The Damned and Buzzcocks etc and obscure B sides & live tracks.
Check the UK's best Punk site TRAKMARX for more info & all things
gobby and don’t forget… we mean it maaaan !!!
